Herbaceous Rosemary Focaccia Bread
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 tsp granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp active dry yeast
- 170 g water
- 283 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 42 g Onion
- 2 tsp Olive Oil
- Rosemary sprigs
Instructions
- Combine the sugar, yeast, and water.
- Stir to dissolve the yeast.
- Stir in flour.
- Stir in 1 1/2 tsp of salt and minced onions.
- Mix well, and then knead on a lightly floured board or in the bowl until smooth.
- Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and ferment until doubled.
- Punch down the dough and then flatten it onto an oiled baking sheet.
- It should be no more than 1 inch thick.
- Brush the top of the dough with olive oil.
- Let the dough proof until doubled, for about 15 minutes
- Sprinkle rosemary sprigs and remaining half a teaspoon of salt on top of the dough.
- Bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit until lightly browned for 20 minutes.
