Wine Pairing

Tangy Shrimp Scampi: This classic recipe makes a simple garlic, white wine and butter sauce that goes well with a pile of pasta or with a chunk of crusty bread. The light flavors of lemon and herbs enhance the shrimp’s flavor. It’s deliciously saucy, perfectly rich and buttery and amazingly flavorful!

Once the shrimp are added to the pan, the tip is to cook them just long enough that they turn pink all over, but not until their bodies curl into rounds and get rubbery. This indicates overcooking. You can also keep it low carb and serve this over zucchini noodles or with cauliflower fried rice!

This shrimp recipe is perfect with light white wines such as the following:

  • Sauvignon Blanc
  • Pinot Blanc
  • Pinot Gris
  • Pinot Grigio
